I love how creative our daycare is for any holiday. They will have a theme for the week and encourage the kids to dress up each day. Valentine's Day was no different! Each day had a fun theme from hearts, pink and red, and valentine pajamas (which for a 10 month old is basically what they wear everyday). Growing up, holidays were made to be a big deal and I always loved how spirited my mom would get for them. We had decorations around the home and special ways to celebrate as a family.

Our daycare gave the option to bring valentines for our daughter's classmates. I spent several mornings looking online for ideas and came up with fun small gifts for the group. Her classmates vary from 3 months to almost a year, so I wanted to find something everyone could enjoy.

Here is what I created for her classmates and a few other ideas!

  • sensory cubes - this is what I ultimately purchased because of how young her classmates range, I wanted to be sure to include something they could play with! Bonus - they come in 4 packs so are very cost effective for a class of 8!

  • pouches - self explanatory for why classmates would enjoy these, but typically for ages 6 month+.

  • sensory pop bubbles - one of our her classmates gave these as a stocking stuffer around the holidays, she loves it! I found a lot of heart and valentine options on Amazon.

  • valentine rubber ducks - fun bath toys with themed patterns.

I didn't want to leave out the teachers! I created little gift bags for them as well that included these valentine goldfish snack bags, some chocolates, and a Target gift card. We are beyond grateful for how amazing all the staff are at our center, so I try to find small ways to say thank you throughout the year.

We also made a fun Valentine bag for our daughter to enjoy at home as well! I picked up a pink outfit, light up frog prince, and the same sensory cube her classmates are getting.

Most of these items I found at Target or Amazon, but definitely recommend looking a few weeks ahead. The sensory cubes from Amazon had about a week delivery time, and when I went to Target 3 days before the holiday, they were just about cleared out! I had to go to another store to find the clear gift bags - they were totally sold out!

Hope you have an amazing Valentine and these tips are helpful if you are looking for little gifts to share!

Just like creating a recipe or feeding your little one, a spoon can be difficult to balance.  I hope to share ideas and experiences to help you find balance across varyious things - healthy living, intentional movement, or being a new parent!
